“Tuesday is the best day to send email newsletters.”
When does that change? It already has for me. I get swamped by email newsletters on Tuesdays. Yet, I’m sure many “experts” still hold true to this statement. I’m positive many, many people who send email newsletters still believe it’s true.
The Casual Fridays blog is about business in blue jeans. It's about doing the REAL hard work of today. Pausing, thinking and asking the questions others won't ask.

Dustin, thanks for the counter thought. As a writer of two weekly newsletters, I can seldom get both cranked out for Tuesday delivery. My loyal readers still read them when they feel like it anyway.

True, people will read email newsletters not necessarily based on the timing of the delivery but more on the value of the content. The only thing accomplished by delivering on low volume days is possibly lowering the “is this worth my time” bar. The greatest benefit may be seen with new readers with whom value hasn’t been established.
