If you’re curious what’s going on with your TypePad account or if you’ve noticed some of your favorite blogs are a week behind, here’s a clue:
The Casual Fridays blog is about business in blue jeans. It's about doing the REAL hard work of today. Pausing, thinking and asking the questions others won't ask.

Does this happen often? I am fairly new to Typepad, and need to decide if I should use another service. Thanks!

Mike,
Not to my knowledge. I use WordPress instead of TypePad, but I read many blogs that use TypePad. Seems like they had a bug in their commenting function about 6 months ago. They fixed that. I bet they’ll have this fixed soon.

Yeah, Jory called me this morning wondering why my latest post wasn’t there. I told her to check her posts….a couple were missing. I was hoping they would remedy everything right away, but so far, nothing. I guess we’ll have to be patient; but I’m guessing this isn’t setting too well with anyone.

Apparently it’s a bigger issue than I realized.
As of Friday, Dec 16th at 5:15 PM (CST) it appears they have been down for at least 15 hours. Ouch!
Wonder how this makes Yahoo! feel. Also, I’m curious as to who this benefits. I’m not familiar with who would be considered TypePad’s largest competitor.
I run a customized form of WordPress that I downloaded and run on my own server, but they did launch wordpress.com recently. It’s a hosted version of WordPress. If you’re interested, go check it out. If it’s as good as the downloadable version, you won’t be sorry.
