When I was with Saturn they didn&#039;t want to hire former &quot;car people&quot;. Saturn believed that they would not be willing to unlearn what they had learned in the existing car industry.

That is what gave me a chance at breaking into the business world.

I didn&#039;t know much of anything.

But I had a &quot;teachable spirit&quot; and that was what they were looking for.

I think part of what prodigal&#039;s waste is the &quot;talent&quot; to learn and change. We all have it. But we waste the our capacity for change by settling for hardening of the categories.
