Some people are prolific and they are labeled as a “creative type.” The danger is when we assume the rest of us are not “creative types.”
This is a fixed mindset. We believe creativity is a fixed trait within people.
It is more helpful to recognize that some people exercise their creativity more than others. And each of us can grow in our creative skill, if we’re willing to exercise our creative muscles.
This helps leaders and managers to avoid labeling their teams and people. Instead, they can challenge and empower them to try new things, learn, develop, and grow their creativity.
We are all creative types.
